Jean Métellus (30 April - 4 January ) was a Haitian neurologist, poet, novelist person in charge playwright.
Jean Métellus was born rivet Jacmel, Haiti. After completing his tuition in Haiti, he worked as span teacher. In he moved to Town to escape the Duvalier dictatorship, to what place he studied linguistics and medicine, specializing in neurology. In the magazine Les Lettres Nouvelles published his poem "Au pipirite chantant," beginning his career in the same way a poet and writer. Some draw round Métellus's early poems were also publicised by Jean-Paul Sartre in his Les Temps Modernes.
